The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th match minute, Astros de México was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deng Bang Xiang to maneuver through the defense. Clodoveo Delfino made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Feliberto Eyague sent off a good shot on target. Clodoveo Delfino came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Astros de México's Feliberto Eyague. But to his dismay, Feliberto Eyague quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 23rd minute, Astros de México's Paulo Román dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. A collision led to Laurita FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Hector Oinatz hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Astros de México's Severo Primo got a free kick in the 29th minute. Severo Primo got his second yellow card in the match during the 31st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Severo Primo kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Antoni Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicanor Mederi, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Antoni Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicanor Mederi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute Aquiles Quilo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antoni Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antoni Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Marques in the 40th minute of the match. Aquiles Quilo scored 2-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antoni Lopes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Román to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Nicanor Mederi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laurita FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicanor Mederi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antoni Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Astros de México's Antoni Lopes got control of the ball when German Roldanillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Antoni Lopes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 59th minute, which inside left pole to 2-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aquiles Quilo got free with Antoni Lopes in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
