Gul Keep made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornel Bodiu in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alex Team's goalkeeper Ion Chificeac, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Garlic Eaters's Gul Keep played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Bartuelo in the 8th minute of play. Gez Barber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Chificeac having to interfere. The supporters of Garlic Eaters booed when Alex Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornel Bodiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Tuck in the 16th minute of play forced Alex Team's goalkeeper Ion Chificeac to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruninho Falcão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th match minute, Alex Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustav Bianca to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute of the match, Ricardo Erosa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gul Keep saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Alex Team's zone, James Tuck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ion Chificeac came out of the goal and James Tuck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ion Chificeac made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tod Tompkins in the 46th minute of play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eustaquio Bartuelo made a kick off. Garlic Eaters's Gul Keep played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Erosa in the 53rd minute of play. When James Tuck fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garlic Eaters's protests and gave James Tuck a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th match minute, Garlic Eaters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by James Tuck to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Garlic Eaters's goal looked a bit too open when Eustaquio Bartuelo came free, but Gul Keep reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Garlic Eaters defense, Eustaquio Bartuelo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gul Keep. The Garlic Eaters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gul Keep should have stopped the shot. Cliff Gurney kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Gez Barber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ion Chificeac tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Garlic Eaters's James Tuck dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. A collision led to Garlic Eaters getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Charlie Silk hit a great ball. Gul Keep took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Bartuelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the game, Alex Team's Eustaquio Bartuelo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gul Keep made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gez Barber got free with Ion Chificeac in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 89th minute, Garlic Eaters's James Tuck dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Garlic Eaters's Gez Barber got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 96 played minutes Junior Tompkins rounded Alex Team's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-3.
