Tang Han hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Edmund Lenertej took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osmundo Puertas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Alvin Brenner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmund Lenertej was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Ieltxu Orbaneja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Benitez in the 20th minute of play. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Taka Jachvadze was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 47 played minutes Nightmare got a freekick which was hit by Guy Grimault. After 48 played minutes Nightmare got a freekick which was hit by Guy Grimault. In the 49th minute, Esquipula Argomedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marco Benitez to make the kick off. Ádám Dobos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th match minute, Nightmare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guy Grimault to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Ieltxu Orbaneja got control of the ball when Aaron Chevalier tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 70th minute, Esquipula Argomedo made a precise shot to the right of Edmund Lenertej. Nightmare's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nightmare would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
