Vlad Anghel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Vítor Meireles in the 4th minute of the match. When Bernardo Maia fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 20th minute João Vítor Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Anghel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Washington Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leontin Iacobescu in the 25th minute of play. João Vítor Meireles's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vlad Anghel firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celsinho Carneiro got free with Vlad Anghel in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emil Glodeanu scored 0-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Washington Cavalcante, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 34 minutes into the match, João Vítor Meireles dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vlad Anghel, 1-1. 40 minutes into the match, LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Ciolacu came free, but Washington Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Emil Glodeanu scored to the left of an out of position Washington Cavalcante, making the score, 1-2. 55 minutes into the match, LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leontin Iacobescu came free, but Washington Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristinel Bocaneț kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, MIT's Flavius Câmpeanu got a free kick in the 61st minute. Leontin Iacobescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Washington Cavalcante having to interfere. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC made a substitution. Cássio Quintal replaced Gilberto Souza. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Zé Paulo Ortiz was substituted for Bernardo Maia. Leontin Iacobescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leontin Iacobescu in the 80th minute of play forced LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's goalkeeper Washington Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Washington Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Glodeanu in the 84th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, MIT's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Paulo Ortiz came free, but Vlad Anghel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristinel Bocaneț had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. LADEIRA DO BATISTA FC's Lamine Yambao was substituted for João Vítor Meireles. MIT's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
