Rickey Joseph made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lari Fari in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute, Lari Fari made a precise shot to the right of Rickey Joseph. Key Biscayne FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A collision led to Key Biscayne FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Drew Latham hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Hinnen in the 10th minute of play forced Key Biscayne FC's goalkeeper Rickey Joseph to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The FC Wil 1900 fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when FC Wil 1900's Adam Hinnen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 16th minute, Adam Hinnen made a precise shot to the right of Rickey Joseph. Key Biscayne FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Adriano Bollhalder hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. FC Wil 1900's Lew Maurer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Wil 1900 from getting a goal against them. Rickey Joseph took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karim Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adam Hinnen in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rickey Joseph saved Key Biscayne FC from getting behind. The supporters of FC Wil 1900 booed when Key Biscayne FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tristan Alford didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joshua Anderhub might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rickey Joseph. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joshua Anderhub ran back to his position shaking his head. 44 minutes into the match, Key Biscayne FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Hinnen came free, but Rickey Joseph reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rickey Joseph showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Hinnen in the 45th minute of the match. Karim Gerber charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karim Gerber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
The wind increased when Tristan Alford made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Key Biscayne FC's Drew Latham nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lew Maurer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. 59 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goal looked a bit too open when Tristan Alford came free, but Lew Maurer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Drew Latham made a precise shot to the right of Lew Maurer. FC Wil 1900's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The Key Biscayne FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rickey Joseph should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, FC Wil 1900's Götz Venkataramanappa got a free kick in the 91st minute. Lew Maurer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fermín Montes in the 92nd minute of the match. Adam Hinnen struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Rickey Joseph didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Wil 1900. FC Wil 1900's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
