The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Astral's Witalis Lukasik got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Borys Skaradowski kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Kåre Blom made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Bogumil Gregorczyk sent off a good shot on target. INIXET BK's Kåre Blom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save INIXET BK from getting a goal against them. If Michel Bratt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute Karl-Johan Wahlnäs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Slawomir Cholewa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Borys Skaradowski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kåre Blom. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 21st minute, Karl-Johan Wahlnäs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Astral's Slawomir Cholewa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Johan Wahlnäs in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Astral's Bogumil Gregorczyk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kåre Blom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Kåre Blom didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bogumil Gregorczyk went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Bogumil Gregorczyk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Kåre Blom made a huge save. With a little luck, INIXET BK's Kåre Blom got control of the ball when Bogumil Gregorczyk tried to sneak it across the goal line. INIXET BK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Borys Skaradowski 42 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bogumil Gregorczyk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Birger Rosendal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Slawomir Cholewa was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. If Karl-Johan Wahlnäs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Michel Bratt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 72 minutes, Pär Odman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INIXET BK and the Astral players grew even worse after the yellow card. INIXET BK:s Kåre Blom showed great skill when he stopped Witalis Lukasik:s penalty. In the 73rd minute, Witalis Lukasik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kåre Blom was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. In the 78th minute Bogumil Gregorczyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kåre Blom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Ingvar Örtendal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. INIXET BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Astral the free kick. Kåre Blom stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bogumil Gregorczyk's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. A collision led to INIXET BK getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Algot Cane hit a great ball. Kåre Blom came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Astral's Bogumil Gregorczyk. But to his dismay, Bogumil Gregorczyk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. 93 minutes into the match, Bogumil Gregorczyk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kåre Blom. INIXET BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bogumil Gregorczyk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Astral walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
