The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wang Feng recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 5 minutes of play, Valencia C.F.'s Jonny Logan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jiang Bing Ning was left in no man's land by his defense there! Florentin Gougeon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jiang Bing Ning took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florentin Gougeon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Jiang Bing Ning successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Júlio Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute Florentin Gougeon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jiang Bing Ning saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andoni Zubizarreta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yu Bing Hong's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute of the match Rossangeles got a corner. Valencia C.F.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Yu Bing Hong ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jeremy Colton thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Andoni Zubizarreta, a very annoying self made goal in the 33rd minute which led to 1-1. Rossangeles's Jiang Bing Ning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentin Gougeon in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Valencia C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lin Yang to maneuver through the defense. Andoni Zubizarreta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremie Hendrickx, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Andoni Zubizarreta came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Rossangeles's Jeremie Hendrickx. But to his dismay, Jeremie Hendrickx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yu Bing Hong to strike the kick off in the second half. Jeremy Colton hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Wang Feng took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Andoni Zubizarreta to make any attempt to save it. Andoni Zubizarreta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wang Feng, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Andoni Zubizarreta successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 63 minutes into the match, Florentin Gougeon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jiang Bing Ning. Rossangeles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florentin Gougeon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. 66 minutes into the game, Rossangeles's Yu Bing Hong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andoni Zubizarreta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. A sloppy throw-in by Hugo-Ernesto Rivadeneyra-Salgado in the 71st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Valencia C.F.'s Jeremy Colton. Andoni Zubizarreta made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Yu Bing Hong sent off a good shot on target. In the 75th minute, Yu Bing Hong got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jiang Bing Ning made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florentin Gougeon in the 78th minute of play. Rossangeles's Jiang Bing Ning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentin Gougeon in the 81st minute of play. In the 89th match minute, Rossangeles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo-Ernesto Rivadeneyra-Salgado to maneuver through the defense. If Todd Kidd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Rossangeles could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Valencia C.F. throughout the match.
