With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonny Logan in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Bouzon saved The Heren Istarion from getting behind. In the 24th minute Florentin Gougeon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Bouzon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, The Heren Istarion's Adelino Lima nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andoni Zubizarreta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 30 played minutes The Heren Istarion got a freekick which was hit by Alto Jering. In the 33rd minute, Florentin Gougeon made a precise shot to the right of David Bouzon. The Heren Istarion's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 37th minute, The Heren Istarion's Fabiano Terrasi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Andoni Zubizarreta. Andoni Zubizarreta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. The Heren Istarion's attentive Nicanor Iraido managed to snatch the ball when Jurand Moryl made a throw-in in the 40th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonny Logan to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match, Jonny Logan got a very nice opportunity to score, but David Bouzon was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 54th minute, Fabiano Terrasi made a precise shot to the right of Andoni Zubizarreta. Valencia C.F.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. David Bouzon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentin Gougeon in the 63rd minute of the match. After 64 played minutes The Heren Istarion got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Iraido. In the 65th minute, Nicanor Iraido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valencia C.F.'s Andoni Zubizarreta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisa De Cat in the 69th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Lisa De Cat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andoni Zubizarreta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florentin Gougeon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but David Bouzon made a huge save. After 74 minutes of play, Valencia C.F.'s Florentin Gougeon made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Bouzon was left in no man's land by his defense there! 77 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Svante Hernström came free, but Andoni Zubizarreta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Bouzon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Florentin Gougeon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-4 in the 79 minute of play. Jeremy Colton got a throw-in 82 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jonny Logan. Jonny Logan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but David Bouzon made a huge save. In the 90th minute, Lisa De Cat made a precise shot to the right of Andoni Zubizarreta. Valencia C.F.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-4. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
