Raşit Kuter hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jullian Marichal in the 12th minute of play forced Senator S.A.K's goalkeeper Edvin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Senator S.A.K's Edvin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Flinta in the 14th minute of play. Senator S.A.K were furious when Mehdi Dündaroğlu was red carded, 16 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of Senator S.A.K:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Joxa mé trasan:s goal. After a rather tough play, Senator S.A.K's Gilbert Tusk got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Edvin van der Sar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ludvig Ahlroth's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ludvig Ahlroth in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edvin van der Sar saved Senator S.A.K from getting behind. Joxa mé trasan's Fred Flinta got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fred Flinta kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. With a little luck, Joxa mé trasan's Claudio Aznar got control of the ball when Cillian Murphy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edvin van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jullian Marichal, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Edoardo Pasin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claudio Aznar having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edoardo Pasin got free with Claudio Aznar in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th minute Fred Flinta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stasio Merski hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arda Güler in the 43rd minute of play forced Joxa mé trasan's goalkeeper Claudio Aznar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edvin van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conny Caspersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fred Flinta made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Senator S.A.K's goalkeeper Edvin van der Sar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fred Flinta. Claudio Aznar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cevat Birsel in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Joxa mé trasan's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arda Güler was slow to take the kick. During this time Senator S.A.K's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Senator S.A.K's corner Arda Güler fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Claudio Aznar quite easily take care of the ball. Cevat Birsel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Aznar having to interfere. Senator S.A.K's Alfredo Llanos was substituted for Edoardo Pasin. In the 67th minute, Conny Caspersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cevat Birsel in the 69th minute of play forced Joxa mé trasan's goalkeeper Claudio Aznar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Augustin Balțoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
