Lucas Ekrot was slow to take the kick. During this time Bennis's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Bennis's Cain Velasquez to fire away a dangerous shot which Mathys Courrèges despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 46th minute Cain Velasquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathys Courrèges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jan-Åke Hallgren made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Cain Velasquez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mathys Courrèges was relentless in the 51st minute of the game.
