After taking down the ball on C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's corner Šako Grande fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sören Malmberg quite easily take care of the ball. If Bogdan Bogdanović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 10th minute of the match, Bogdan Bogdanović tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ingvar Hellkvist saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niceto Botello in the 12th minute of play forced Club 23's goalkeeper Sören Malmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sören Malmberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Armando Maradona's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Club 23's Bogdan Bogdanović sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ingvar Hellkvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Club 23's Sören Malmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Botello in the 17th minute of play. Bogdan Bogdanović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ingvar Hellkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cássio Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Armando Maradona in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sören Malmberg saved Club 23 from getting behind. Ingvar Hellkvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bogdan Bogdanović in the 31st minute. Emil Cioran kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Sören Malmberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Nisipeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the game, Niceto Botello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sören Malmberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Niceto Botello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to C Ａ R D I N Ａ L getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Nae Corbuț hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goalkeeper Ingvar Hellkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrian Ştoia. After a rather tough play, Club 23's Druțu Daniel got a free kick in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bogdan Bogdanović was the one to do the kick off. Diego Armando Maradona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sören Malmberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Diego Armando Maradona made a precise shot to the right of Sören Malmberg. Club 23's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Sören Malmberg made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Diego Armando Maradona sent off a good shot on target. 72 minutes into the match, Club 23's goalkeeper Sören Malmberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niceto Botello. In the 74th minute C Ａ R D I N Ａ L were awarded a corner. Šako Grande went to the cornerflag to take it. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Diego Armando Maradona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sören Malmberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Sören Malmberg made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Niceto Botello sent off a good shot on target. Sören Malmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Armando Maradona in the 78th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio Dracena came free, but Ingvar Hellkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ingvar Hellkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogdan Bogdanović, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 93rd minute, Adrian Ştoia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Šako Grande, 94 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 96 minutes into the game, Diego Armando Maradona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Sören Malmberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
