The coaching staff of San Lorenzo de Sarandi protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fermin Astrada had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franciszek Nuszkowski got free with Agustin Orion in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute Hieronim Watarz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Orion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
