In the 4th minute Ritchie Van Menen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gary Ingram saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, KP Opel Kamień's goal looked a bit too open when Stephen Duxbury came free, but Gigih Bang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kacper Mochowak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Gary Ingram made a huge save. Gigih Bang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pawel Sobolewski in the 13th minute of play. Kacper Mochowak received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gary Ingram came out and tried to block the shot, but Kacper Mochowak slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. Gary Ingram made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kacper Mochowak in the 21st minute. After 21 played minutes KP Opel Kamień got a freekick which was hit by Ritchie Van Menen. KP Opel Kamień's Eloy Ogazón quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Edi Carlo, made in the 24th minute of the game. Gigih Bang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcin Cebula in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Korona Kielce booed when KP Opel Kamień was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radowit Juroszek didn't get a good kick on the ball. KP Opel Kamień's Kacper Mochowak got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kacper Mochowak made a kick off. Gary Ingram stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ángel Baena's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Korona Kielce's Jacek Podgórski was substituted for Edi Andrade. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacek Kielb got free with Gigih Bang in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
