In the 9th minute Remus Voican shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduard Balc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandre Pires read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of Brothers of Mercy booed when Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florin Cosor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mugurel Bleoancă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago van Dijk in the 12th minute of play. Alexandre Pires made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daddy Gol in the 14th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daddy Gol got free with Alexandre Pires in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remus Voican in the 17th minute of play forced Brothers of Mercy's goalkeeper Alexandre Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulf Öfverman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mugurel Bleoancă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Brothers of Mercy were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Thiago van Dijk took the corner. In the game's 21st minute Brothers of Mercy's Thiago van Dijk took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Mugurel Bleoancă and thus the score was 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Öfverman came free, but Mugurel Bleoancă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daddy Gol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Alexandre Pires made a huge save. In the 31st minute of the match, Remus Voican tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alexandre Pires saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mugurel Bleoancă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Öfverman in the 33rd minute of the match. Gustaf Berggren charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustaf Berggren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gustaf Berggren kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th minute of the match Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a corner. Brothers of Mercy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nistor Predescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Danang Macadangdang got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alexandre Pires quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alexandre Pires made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Eduard Balc sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulf Öfverman in the 41st minute of play forced Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Mugurel Bleoancă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daddy Gol in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daddy Gol was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Balc came free, but Alexandre Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Balc came free, but Alexandre Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexandre Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remus Voican, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brothers of Mercy's Alexandre Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daddy Gol in the 60th minute of play. Mugurel Bleoancă was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Bengt-Rune Strömbom capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bengt-Rune Strömbom really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daddy Gol in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Pires saved Brothers of Mercy from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daddy Gol in the 76th minute of play forced Brothers of Mercy's goalkeeper Alexandre Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandre Pires didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daddy Gol went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vali Aurelianu in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Pires saved Brothers of Mercy from getting behind. Mats Elg hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Alexandre Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daddy Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Bengt-Rune Strömbom struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Mugurel Bleoancă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brothers of Mercy. Alexandre Pires came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Eduard Balc. But to his dismay, Eduard Balc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. The supporters of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- booed when Brothers of Mercy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Björk didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- had won after a very even match.
