International Thunders's Thorsten Ternes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mustafa Anıl Kayansel in the 8th minute of play. With his leg Marcus Hagström managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when International Thunders's Damian Trac fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 15th minute Mustafa Anıl Kayansel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thorsten Ternes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mustafa Anıl Kayansel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thorsten Ternes having to interfere. In the 30thth minute of the game Damian Trac who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rank 1's Marcus Hagström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 31st minute, Mustafa Anıl Kayansel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute, Rank 1's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Thomas Zielinski fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Fabiano Antonini came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Rank 1 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Antonini couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Rank 1's Marcus Hagström got control of the ball when Damian Trac tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcus Hagström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damian Trac went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Rank 1 defense, Björn Hainl kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcus Hagström. The Rank 1 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Hagström should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Conny Vesterberg to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Antonini in the 52nd minute of play forced International Thunders's goalkeeper Thorsten Ternes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Rank 1's John Lövkvist seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed John Lövkvist the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rank 1 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and John Lövkvist had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The excitement rose when International Thunders's Björn Hainl after 61 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Rank 1's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 4-1. 64 minutes into the match, International Thunders's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano Antonini came free, but Thorsten Ternes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Björn Hainl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Marcus Hagström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Rank 1's Dick Lindgren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thorsten Ternes. That made the score 4-2 after 70 minutes of play. Marcus Hagström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Trac, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Marcus Hagström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damian Trac's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Fredric Åhman kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. International Thunders's Thorsten Ternes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save International Thunders from getting a goal against them. In the 83rd minute of the match Rank 1 got a corner. International Thunders's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fredric Åhman ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Björn Hainl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
