If Raşit Timuroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 14 minutes into the game, Raşit Timuroz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Unai Simon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 16 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Ulryk Jarosiewicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Godoy. After having played for 17 minutes, Roberto-Carlos Catarinense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trabzonspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto-Carlos Catarinense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aytekin Köksan kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Raşit Timuroz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Unai Simon having to make a save. Unai Simon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raşit Timuroz in the 34th minute of the match. Ulryk Jarosiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Godoy in the 39th minute of play. Unai Simon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raşit Timuroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trabzonspor's Ulryk Jarosiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celestino Millano in the 45th minute of play. The corner led 1989 Blxsk's Sokol Mudrov to fire away a dangerous shot which Ulryk Jarosiewicz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raşit Timuroz was the one to do the kick off. Ubaldo Raphael kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Roberto-Carlos Catarinense charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roberto-Carlos Catarinense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Unai Simon made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Raşit Timuroz sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th match minute, 1989 Blxsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ubaldo Raphael to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, 1989 Blxsk's Ubaldo Raphael got a free kick in the 66th minute. 1989 Blxsk made a substitution. Filiberto Manni replaced Ubaldo Ur. A collision led to Trabzonspor getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Aybar Gürçınar hit a great ball. After 94 minutes, Honorio Birjaio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 1989 Blxsk and the Trabzonspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in 1989 Blxsk's zone, Aybar Gürçınar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Unai Simon came out of the goal and Aybar Gürçınar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ulryk Jarosiewicz came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by 1989 Blxsk's Candido Joseph. But to his dismay, Candido Joseph quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Trabzonspor had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
