In the 14th match minute, Merusca F&P - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Lugano's goalkeeper La Para, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nereo Precioso in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Franz Dubosq saved Merusca F&P - CIMZ from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Jack Saunders put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Franz Dubosq. 33 minutes into the match, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Lara came free, but Franz Dubosq reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fred Lara in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Franz Dubosq saved Merusca F&P - CIMZ from getting behind. FC Lugano's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Dmitry Ilyushin scored to the left of an out of position La Para, making the score, 1-2. 40 minutes into the game, Igor Linares threw the ball into play from the sideline. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Claudinho Sá quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Edmondo Gulli kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dmitry Ilyushin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 85 played minutes, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Gustavo Gomez Blanco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper La Para came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Merusca F&P - CIMZ reached it. 88 minutes into the match, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Klas Tingelholm came free, but Franz Dubosq reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jakub Waselenczuk got free with Franz Dubosq in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yusuf Ziya Cerit during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
