Spectators: 8485 (Terracing: 6365, Seating: 1951, VIP seats: 169) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vladimiro Jerold started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes FC Lugano got a freekick which was hit by Edmondo Gulli. A collision led to FC Lugano getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Zhao Le Sen hit a great ball. After having played for 4 minutes, Ulisses Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Gallos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulisses Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eder Sarro charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eder Sarro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Los Gallos's Eder Sarro got a free kick in the 6th minute. Alexander Testa hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. La Para came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Gallos's Vladimiro Jerold. But to his dismay, Vladimiro Jerold quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A collision led to Los Gallos getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Muni Cero hit a great ball. Gipuzkoa Chamochin struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. La Para didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Gallos. With a little luck, FC Lugano's La Para got control of the ball when Eder Sarro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Los Gallos's Anacleto Horado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Saunders in the 28th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jack Saunders in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anacleto Horado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 40 minutes Los Gallos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Yusuf Ziya Cerit who took care of the corner kick. Anacleto Horado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Saunders in the 43rd minute of play. If Fred Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fred Lara to make the kick off. Los Gallos's Anacleto Horado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Los Gallos from getting a goal against them. FC Lugano's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Yusuf Ziya Cerit in the 54th minute. La Para showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimiro Jerold, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the game, Eder Sarro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. La Para was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anacleto Horado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yusuf Ziya Cerit in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Lugano's goalkeeper La Para, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Lugano made a substitution. Klas Tingelholm replaced Fred Lara. A nice corner shot did that Boyko Rushkarski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this La Para quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Fernando Polo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without La Para having to interfere. Anacleto Horado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Klas Tingelholm in the 78th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Los Gallos's zone, Yusuf Ziya Cerit stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anacleto Horado came out of the goal and Yusuf Ziya Cerit tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 87 played minutes FC Lugano got a freekick which was hit by Zhao Le Sen. The supporters of Los Gallos booed when FC Lugano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zhao Le Sen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Vladimiro Jerold ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. La Para was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimiro Jerold in the 95th minute of play forced FC Lugano's goalkeeper La Para to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Many of FC Lugano's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. FC Lugano may have spent more time on the ball, but Los Gallos were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
