The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hieronim Misiorowski during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 3 played minutes Tequila Sunrise got a freekick which was hit by Hieronim Misiorowski. David Furtado's late challenge caught a Tequila Sunrise's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Furtado helped the player get up and apologised. After 11 played minutes Papunhas EC got a freekick which was hit by David Furtado. When Guilherme Moraes fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Papunhas EC's protests and gave Guilherme Moraes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tequila Sunrise booed when Papunhas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilherme Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tequila Sunrise's Wladyslaw Siwek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Tequila Sunrise from getting a goal against them. 30 minutes into the game, Luís Fernando Nogueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Papunhas EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tequila Sunrise the free kick. The supporters of Tequila Sunrise booed when Papunhas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fernando Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Leon Merski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norbert Olejasz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 38 minutes into the match. After 39 played minutes Tequila Sunrise got a freekick which was hit by Norbert Olejasz. Lauro Secco came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Tequila Sunrise's Roch Zbikowski. But to his dismay, Roch Zbikowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 46th match minute, Papunhas EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim da Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Marcin Konieczny got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Wladyslaw Siwek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurinho Prestes in the 59th minute of play. Marcin Konieczny blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lauro Secco having to make a save. Guilherme Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Tequila Sunrise's Roch Zbikowski dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Tadeusz Andrysiak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tequila Sunrise's supporters rose to their feet, but Tadeusz Andrysiak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lauro Secco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wladyslaw Siwek came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Papunhas EC's Artur do Nascimento. But to his dismay, Artur do Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 82nd minute, Nestor Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roch Zbikowskis short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Lauro Secco to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Tequila Sunrise's Zachariasz Lech got a free kick in the 85th minute. The Papunhas EC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
