After 5 minutes, Claudio Fantasia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fiume Veneto and the Los up up players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Los up up booed when Fiume Veneto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Fantasia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Fiume Veneto's Ercole Briganti got a free kick in the 7th minute. Baldomero Paz scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniele Frezza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 12th minute Severiano Monte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniele Frezza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guaberto Lluterio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Esposito in the 13th minute of play. If Cristobal Chaime had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Claudio Papetti kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Guaberto Lluterio. That made the score 1-1 in the 18 minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Fiume Veneto's goal looked a bit too open when Severiano Monte came free, but Daniele Frezza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 28 minutes, Emilio Esposito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fiume Veneto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilio Esposito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claudio Papetti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Guaberto Lluterio made a huge save. 31 minutes into the match, Baldomero Paz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniele Frezza. Fiume Veneto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baldomero Paz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Daniele Frezza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severiano Monte in the 34th minute of the match. Cristobal Chaime scored 1-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniele Frezza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Claudio Papetti struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Guaberto Lluterio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fiume Veneto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severiano Monte in the 48th minute of play forced Fiume Veneto's goalkeeper Daniele Frezza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Los up up were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 54th minute Claudio Papetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Lluterio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Los up up's zone, Emilio Esposito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guaberto Lluterio came out of the goal and Emilio Esposito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guaberto Lluterio came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Fiume Veneto's Emilio Esposito. But to his dismay, Emilio Esposito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Enrico Cirone charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enrico Cirone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 62 played minutes Fiume Veneto got a freekick which was hit by Enrico Cirone. In the 66th match minute, Los up up was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualterio Beila to maneuver through the defense. Ercole Briganti kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 79th minute Severiano Monte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniele Frezza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Fiume Veneto's goal looked a bit too open when Severiano Monte came free, but Daniele Frezza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristobal Chaime had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florentino Costante during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 89th match minute, Los up up was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Costante to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudio Papetti in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guaberto Lluterio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomero Paz got free with Daniele Frezza in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
