Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rickard Hedlund took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Charlotte FC's goalkeeper Jessie Amos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bengt-Åke Thidén. Charlotte FC's Jessie Amos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Charlotte FC from getting a goal against them. Stewart Shaver kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Bengt-Åke Thidén ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jessie Amos was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Jessie Amos came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Linköpings AIK's Olof Brolin. But to his dismay, Olof Brolin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olof Brolin in the 34th minute of play forced Charlotte FC's goalkeeper Jessie Amos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Charlotte FC's goalkeeper Jessie Amos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bengt-Åke Thidén. In the 41st minute, Bengt-Åke Thidén made a precise shot to the right of Jessie Amos. Charlotte FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The supporters of Linköpings AIK booed when Charlotte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stewart Shaver didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wade Stacy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jessie Amos came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Linköpings AIK's Bengt-Åke Thidén. But to his dismay, Bengt-Åke Thidén quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Jessie Amos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olov Bock, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Rickard Hedlund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jessie Amos. Charlotte FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rickard Hedlund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Jessie Amos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Åke Thidén in the 70th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Genaro Zepeda during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 70 played minutes Charlotte FC got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Zepeda. Jessie Amos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Åke Thidén in the 71st minute of the match. Jessie Amos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Åke Thidén in the 74th minute of play. Jessie Amos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt-Åke Thidén, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Rickard Hedlund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jessie Amos. Jessie Amos came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Linköpings AIK's Robert Jansson. But to his dismay, Robert Jansson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. 84 minutes into the match, Charlotte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Olov Bock came free, but Jessie Amos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genaro Zepeda hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute Bengt-Åke Thidén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jessie Amos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 91 minutes of play, Linköpings AIK's Rickard Hedlund made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jessie Amos was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 94 played minutes Charlotte FC got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Zepeda. If Bengt-Åke Thidén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Linköpings AIK were the better team. Linköpings AIK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
