The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Kikemania FC booed when Blomstermåla BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred Lövgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Salvador Garaona got free with Åke Johnsson in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jaime Quilino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sakarias Melin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Kikemania FC's goal looked a bit too open when Olov Hääger came free, but Jaime Quilino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Blomstermåla BK's Jörgen Bergfeldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
