FC Kickerz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave São José City - FSCMZ the free kick. Urban Skark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Lars Hansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olle Wennerqvist lost his temper 41 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Luiz Paulo Leão got in the 42nd minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Urban Skark. This was a shot which ended in a score of 2-1. Jan Ferm's late challenge caught a São José City - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan Ferm helped the player get up and apologised. Jan Ferm hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Urban Skark came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by São José City - FSCMZ's Nelsinho Cunha. But to his dismay, Nelsinho Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lars Hansson was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hortêncio Arruda during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
