Pedrinho Severo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolas Azubeli in the 4th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as El Millo de Haedo's Nicolas Azubeli slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedrinho Severo. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. Antonio Carrizo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernani Brito in the 24th minute of the match. Nicolas Azubeli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Nicolas Azubeli managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Millo de Haedo's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Azubeli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrinho Severo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Pedrinho Severo managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when El Millo de Haedo's Nicolas Azubeli fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 36 played minutes El Millo de Haedo got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Garoa. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Breno Almeida during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, El Millo de Haedo's Breno Almeida got a free kick in the 40th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicolas Azubeli was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of El Millo de Haedo booed when Zandarin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erivaldo Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. El Millo de Haedo's Pedro Luís Schmidt got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antonio Carrizo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Augusto Secco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zandarin FC's Pedrinho Severo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Azubeli in the 76th minute of play. The El Millo de Haedo fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when El Millo de Haedo's Nicolas Azubeli looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
