Everardo Henrico hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 4th minute Trindade Atlético Club were awarded a corner. Cássio Paes went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Cássio Paes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Candelaria FC's Gustavo Galindo did a great save. 5 minutes into the game, Alfredo Tulio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Candelaria FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trindade Atlético Club the free kick. Alfredo Tulio hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Yan Pereira scored 1-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustavo Galindo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Giovani Sergipano struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Gustavo Galindo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trindade Atlético Club. Gustavo Galindo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giovani Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Cássio Paes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Gustavo Galindo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A hard shot 18 in the game by Cássio Paes from a close distance when the talented Gustavo Galindo managed to make a qualified save. Candelaria FC's players were relieved. Marco Peli's late challenge caught a Trindade Atlético Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Peli helped the player get up and apologised. Marco Peli kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Gustavo Galindo came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Trindade Atlético Club's Yan Pereira. But to his dismay, Yan Pereira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Yan Pereira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Gustavo Galindo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 33rd minute, Eleuterio Osorio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yan Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cássio Paes made a kick off. Yan Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Galindo having to interfere. If Cássio Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Cássio Paes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustavo Galindo was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Trindade Atlético Club's Roberto-Carlos Trindade got a free kick in the 59th minute. Edmílson Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Izotz in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edu Nóbrega in the 64th minute of play forced Candelaria FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Galindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yan Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Galindo having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's Aureliano Izotz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edmílson Britto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edmílson Britto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Peli in the 85th minute. Gustavo Galindo came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Trindade Atlético Club's Edu Nóbrega. But to his dismay, Edu Nóbrega quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. When the referee ended the match the Trindade Atlético Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
