The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of AEK FC booed when FC Lutanu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nunez Amor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erik Stordal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Severin Hussein put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ştefan Gârniceanu. Radowit Hetman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ştefan Gârniceanu came out and tried to block the shot, but Radowit Hetman slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 14th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Erik Stordal managed to get in a good position for a shot. AEK FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Stordal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ştefan Gârniceanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 18 minutes into the match, FC Lutanu's goalkeeper Ştefan Gârniceanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severin Hussein. Severin Hussein in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ştefan Gârniceanu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ştefan Gârniceanu didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when AEK FC's Severin Hussein shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. After 26th play minutes Severin Hussein shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Ştefan Gârniceanu and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 30th minute, Roald Djupvik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raymond Roland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Finn Eidsvåg having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdi Malkoçoğlu in the 41st minute of play forced FC Lutanu's goalkeeper Ştefan Gârniceanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, FC Lutanu's goalkeeper Ştefan Gârniceanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severin Hussein. 43 minutes into the match, FC Lutanu's goal looked a bit too open when Severin Hussein came free, but Ştefan Gârniceanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute of the match AEK FC got a corner. FC Lutanu's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Erik Stordal ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aristide Bărcăuan's late challenge caught a AEK FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristide Bărcăuan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, FC Lutanu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristide Bărcăuan to maneuver through the defense.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Severin Hussein made a kick off. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Lutanu's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Erik Stordal was slow to take the kick. During this time AEK FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC Lutanu's goalie and right to J.J Boss. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC Lutanu's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ştefan Gârniceanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrik Tjelle in the 57th minute of the match. Severin Hussein took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ştefan Gârniceanu. Ştefan Gârniceanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Ştefan Gârniceanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severin Hussein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82ndth minute of the game Severin Hussein who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Lutanu's Ştefan Gârniceanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Severin Hussein had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ştefan Gârniceanu. FC Lutanu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severin Hussein was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Abdi Malkoçoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. AEK FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abdi Malkoçoğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ştefan Gârniceanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iustinian Munteanu kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After having played for 90 minutes, Erik Stordal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AEK FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Stordal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. AEK FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
