Spectators: 7527 (Terracing: 5646, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) Meerkats FC's Kevin Musu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpected shot in the 2nd minute by Carmine Gagliano got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Meerkats FC's goalkeeper William Troisi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 12 minutes into the game, Carmine Gagliano lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated William Troisi. When Sconvols United's Carmine Gagliano in 16 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. William Troisi guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrea Bonett during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Andrea Bonett hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. William Troisi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damiano Rosato in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, Sconvols United's Damiano Rosato got a free kick in the 25th minute. William Troisi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmine Gagliano in the 26th minute of the match. The supporters of Meerkats FC booed when Sconvols United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Vinci didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Leonard Calleja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the game, Enzo Andreassi threw the ball into play from the sideline. Meerkats FC's Andrè Tedesco quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Ryo Ishizaki charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ryo Ishizaki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Anton De Battista took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Angelo Di Salvatore. Sconvols United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Carmine Gagliano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Troisi having to interfere. William Troisi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmine Gagliano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. William Troisi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmine Gagliano in the 41st minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carmine Gagliano was the one to do the kick off. Carmine Gagliano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 58 played minutes Meerkats FC got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Seracino Inglott. When Sconvols United's Carmine Gagliano in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Meerkats FC's goalie prevented a goal. Carmine Gagliano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. William Troisi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Carmine Gagliano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. William Troisi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damiano Rosato in the 81st minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Leonard Calleja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carmine Gagliano in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg William Troisi saved Meerkats FC from getting behind. Angelo Di Salvatore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Seracino Inglott in the 91st minute of play. Leonard Calleja kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Damiano Rosato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Troisi having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Damiano Rosato's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but William Troisi was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sconvols United had won after a very even match.
