The audience was convinced that Horacio Rey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvério Netto was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gualterio Firmo got free with Silvério Netto in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silvério Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Rey in the 23rd minute of the match. After 33 minutes of play, Academia Militar MZ's Orlando de Andrade made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonides Aurken was left in no man's land by his defense there! Silvério Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Rey in the 36th minute of play. Orlando de Andrade's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonides Aurken read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Horacio Rey charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horacio Rey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Horacio Rey hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After 48 played minutes Gualterio Firmo rounded Academia Militar MZ's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orlando de Andrade stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Pucará's Arnaldo Selatse got a free kick in the 61st minute. A collision led to Academia Militar MZ getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Toninho Dias hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Academia Militar MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelino Alfonso came free, but Silvério Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvério Netto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Academia Militar MZ's Silvério Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualterio Firmo in the 81st minute of play. Silvério Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Rey in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Ariel López notched a goal, 3-5, to the right of Academia Militar MZ's Silvério Netto. Silvério Netto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Silvério Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel López, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After a rather tough play, Academia Militar MZ's Rogério Gaúcho got a free kick in the 91st minute. Silvério Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel López in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute Gualterio Firmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvério Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 98 played minutes Pucará got a freekick which was hit by Horacio Rey. The Academia Militar MZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Academia Militar MZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
