The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leonardo Poz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Dante Mannie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaspar Sabin in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adão Semedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amador Jakue during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's Amador Jakue got a free kick in the 16th minute. When Godfredo Ascencio fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leones FC's protests and gave Godfredo Ascencio a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Godfredo Ascencio. In the 20th minute, Leonardo Poz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adão Semedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. AD Pontassolense's Adão Semedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Sabin in the 25th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Dante Mannie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adão Semedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaspar Sabin in the 32nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the AD Pontassolense defense, Gaspar Sabin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adão Semedo. The AD Pontassolense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adão Semedo should have stopped the shot. In the 44th minute, Leonardo Poz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adão Semedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaspar Sabin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adão Semedo was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Amador Jakue capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amador Jakue really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Jaime Mundo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 60th minute. Leones FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Jaime Mundo came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Leones FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Mundo couldn't finish the play. Nélson Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, AD Pontassolense's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Mundo came free, but Adão Semedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adão Semedo was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Leonardo Poz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leonardo Poz really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. After a rather tough play, Leones FC's Godfredo Ascencio got a free kick in the 68th minute. 74 minutes into the game, Gaspar Sabin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adão Semedo. Gaspar Sabin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. Adão Semedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Poz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nélson Abreu hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute, Leones FC's Jaime Mundo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Adão Semedo. Adão Semedo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. The supporters of AD Pontassolense booed when Leones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Mundo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
