Danny Salz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlético Micaelense's Vicente Sanches shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 5th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Urbes Astera but with some difficulty. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Blackblue United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Atlético Micaelense:s goal. The goalkeeper, Urbes Astera, was totally fooled by Atlético Micaelense's Maurício Neves, who 7 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 10 minutes into the match, Maurício Neves dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Urbes Astera, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timoteo Amigo in the 13th minute of play forced Atlético Micaelense's goalkeeper Marcelo Amaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torcato Paião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Urbes Astera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cláudio Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute Torcato Paião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urbes Astera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Urbes Astera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cláudio Madureira went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Marcelo Amaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timoteo Amigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Erick Caicedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blackblue United's supporters rose to their feet, but Erick Caicedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Amaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Blackblue United defense, Torcato Paião kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Urbes Astera. The Blackblue United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Urbes Astera should have stopped the shot. 33 minutes into the match, Blackblue United's goal looked a bit too open when Torcato Paião came free, but Urbes Astera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 minutes, Cláudio Madureira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético Micaelense and the Blackblue United players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Blackblue United booed when Atlético Micaelense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Madureira didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Erick Caicedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danny Salz hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The long shot by Vicente Sanches in the 46th minute really tested Urbes Astera's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Erick Caicedo came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Blackblue United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erick Caicedo couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Torcato Paião to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Timoteo Amigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurício Neves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Urbes Astera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Cláudio Madureira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Blackblue United's Urbes Astera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Madureira in the 61st minute of play. When Cláudio Madureira came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Atlético Micaelense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cláudio Madureira couldn't finish the play. Timoteo Amigo hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Maurício Neves hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the game, Atlético Micaelense's Torcato Paião nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Urbes Astera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. 84 minutes into the match, Blackblue United's goal looked a bit too open when Torcato Paião came free, but Urbes Astera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 85 played minutes Atlético Micaelense got a freekick which was hit by Veríssimo Carvalhal. In the 87th match minute, Atlético Micaelense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Igrejas to maneuver through the defense. Timoteo Amigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Amaro having to interfere. Urbes Astera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Torcato Paião's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Atlético Micaelense's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vicente Sanches in the 95th minute. Atlético Micaelense's Vicente Sanches was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Urbes Astera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
