The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Æsir Ásgarðr's Maggi Borgþórsson got a free kick in the 2nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sólbjörn Guðnason in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Terkild Lukasen saved AB Tårnby from getting behind. The Æsir Ásgarðr fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Æsir Ásgarðr's Sólbjörn Guðnason looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to AB Tårnby getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Thomas Lauridsen hit a great ball. A collision led to Æsir Ásgarðr getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Terkild Lukasen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in AB Tårnby's zone, Jarl Kormáksson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Terkild Lukasen came out of the goal and Jarl Kormáksson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sólbjörn Guðnason in the 24th minute of play forced AB Tårnby's goalkeeper Terkild Lukasen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Æsir Ásgarðr's goalkeeper Skarphéðinn Ormarsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Morten Hjulmand. A hard shot by Bobbi Elsted from long distance, 34 minutes into the match, got Skarphéðinn Ormarsson's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Morten Hjulmand took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Skarphéðinn Ormarsson to make any attempt to save it. Terkild Lukasen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mórits Hamarsson in the 45th minute of play. Terkild Lukasen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sólbjörn Guðnason, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

In the 70th minute Jarl Kormáksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Terkild Lukasen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sólbjörn Guðnason's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Terkild Lukasen firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sólbjörn Guðnason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sólbjörn Guðnason took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Terkild Lukasen. Terkild Lukasen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3.
