Spectators: 7510 (Terracing: 5633, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when José Paulo Sousa took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute, Deivid Vaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Spyros Skafidas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Deivid Vaz's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Stefanos Batiris kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. When Marios Iatridis fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Green Hell F.C.'s protests and gave Marios Iatridis a yellow card for diving instead. The audience was convinced that Fausto Aguiar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Spyros Skafidas was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. José Paulo Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Spyros Skafidas having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, José Paulo Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joinville Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but José Paulo Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Spyros Skafidas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 34 minutes into the match, Green Hell F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Deivid Vaz came free, but Spyros Skafidas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sakis Kefalas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Joinville Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Deivid Vaz. If José Paulo Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Green Hell F.C.'s Spyros Skafidas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Aguiar in the 64th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Deivid Vaz in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Spyros Skafidas saved Green Hell F.C. from getting behind. Deivid Vaz kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Deivid Vaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th minute, Deivid Vaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 89 minutes into the game, Fausto Aguiar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Joinville Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Green Hell F.C. the free kick. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
