But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Ove Thedin couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Corinthians booed when Ghost Hunters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Brovall didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Luís Fernando Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corinthians's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Fernando Guedes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Åke Gustafsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 9 minutes into the match, Corinthians's goalkeeper Mauro Dante had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven Bäckman. In the 11th minute Edmílson Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Åke Gustafsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ghost Hunters's Åke Gustafsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernandinho Urbano in the 16th minute of play. Mauro Dante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niclas Abrahamsson in the 17th minute. Mauro Dante made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Sven Bäckman sent off a good shot on target. Ghost Hunters's Åke Gustafsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Borges in the 24th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernandinho Urbano in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Åke Gustafsson saved Ghost Hunters from getting behind. In the 26th minute, Gert Håkansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dennis Lindkvist hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Ghost Hunters:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Corinthians:s goal. The referee gave Corinthians a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luís Fernando Guedes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ghost Hunters's Åke Gustafsson. 1-1. A collision led to Ghost Hunters getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Sven Bäckman hit a great ball. After 40 minutes Ghost Hunters's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luís Fernando Guedes who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Corinthians's Luís Fernando Guedes to fire away a dangerous shot which Åke Gustafsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Åke Gustafsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandinho Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Åke Gustafsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Fernando Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernandinho Urbano was the one to do the kick off. Åke Gustafsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Matorin in the 54th minute of play forced Ghost Hunters's goalkeeper Åke Gustafsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Corinthians's zone, Dennis Lindkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Dante came out of the goal and Dennis Lindkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute, Corinthians's Fernandinho Urbano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Corinthians's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luís Fernando Guedes in the 61st minute. Åke Gustafsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandinho Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The tension between the Ghost Hunters and the Corinthians players grew even worse after the yellow card. Acácio Ramos shot from long distance in the 80th minute, but Åke Gustafsson was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. When Corinthians's Fernandinho Urbano in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Corinthians played a much better game than Ghost Hunters and deserved their victory. The Ghost Hunters players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
