Arūnas Mašalas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Valer Ghelmegean made a huge save. After 27 minutes FC Amicii Boys's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daumantas Paplauskas who took care of the corner kick. Daumantas Paplauskas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Valer Ghelmegean when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arūnas Mašalas in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valer Ghelmegean saved FC Amicii Boys from getting behind. Arūnas Mašalas in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Valer Ghelmegean, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Lucian Mazăre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arūnas Mašalas in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valer Ghelmegean prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nerūnas Alijošius got free with Valer Ghelmegean in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucian Mazăre made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Arūnas Mašalas put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Valer Ghelmegean. Valer Ghelmegean stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daumantas Paplauskas's shot from short distance in the 56th minute.
