United.SF's Gregorio Sabin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save United.SF from getting a goal against them. After 16 played minutes United.SF got a freekick which was hit by Aquilino Gipuzkoa. In the 21st match minute, S.C.PAULISTA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Francisco Neves to maneuver through the defense. Gregorio Sabin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Acácio Alves showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. Aquilino Gipuzkoa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Flávio Fantini. S.C.PAULISTA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jean Borges could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Gregorio Sabin made a huge save. After 45 played minutes S.C.PAULISTA got a freekick which was hit by Acácio Alves. Edelmiro Chico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Fantini having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Acácio Alves was the one to do the kick off. Candido Orti made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by S.C.PAULISTA's Moisés Godoi. Gregorio Sabin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. United.SF's Gregorio Sabin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Alves in the 55th minute of play. In the 63rd minute Acácio Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Sabin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of S.C.PAULISTA booed when United.SF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Regis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 68 played minutes S.C.PAULISTA got a freekick which was hit by Moisés Godoi. In the 69th minute of the match German Regis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flávio Fantini showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Edelmiro Chico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Flávio Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the game, Dorival Pombal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Gregorio Sabin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Moisés Godoi's late challenge caught a United.SF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moisés Godoi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, S.C.PAULISTA's Moisés Godoi got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute, Moisés Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Acácio Alves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregorio Sabin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. A hard shot 95 in the game by Edelmiro Chico from a close distance when the talented Flávio Fantini managed to make a qualified save. S.C.PAULISTA's players were relieved. S.C.PAULISTA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
