After the first half Escuadrón Mercenario were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliseo Cavazos was the one to do the kick off. Atletico Patoruzu's Tyrell Cochran got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Escuadrón Mercenario's Josué Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Connor Presley in the 53rd minute of play. Iztal Aballe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Waldo Hills when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Iztal Aballe in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Waldo Hills, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
