Stig-Arne Ödman spun around in front of the goal 43 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Liga de Quito's goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Jairo Collador made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Arne Ödman in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, AC Mayonnaise's Stig-Arne Ödman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jairo Collador made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Valdemar Jönsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urbano Pacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After 79 played minutes AC Mayonnaise got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Örtlund. Jairo Collador showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Holmberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Valdemar Jönsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nestor Ibaute in the 84th minute. Walter Mårtensson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute.
