Marsel Pečjak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Marciano Lertxun made a huge save. When Valerij Žnidaršič fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fajteri's protests and gave Valerij Žnidaršič a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of El ABUELO FC booed when Fajteri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valerij Žnidaršič didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diego Hori took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julij Kac. Fajteri's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 16th minute, Sergio Txurio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julij Kac was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 19 minutes into the game, Nijaz Karaibrahimović recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marciano Lertxun. Nijaz Karaibrahimović showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. 23 minutes into the match, Fajteri's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Etxekopar came free, but Julij Kac reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 played minutes Fajteri got a freekick which was hit by Ivek Majstorović. Julij Kac made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Etxekopar in the 24th minute of play. Marciano Lertxun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marsel Pečjak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Marsel Pečjak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fajteri's supporters rose to their feet, but Marsel Pečjak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marciano Lertxun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 34 minutes into the match, Marsel Pečjak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marciano Lertxun. El ABUELO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marsel Pečjak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. 36 minutes into the game, El ABUELO FC's Alberto Etxekopar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julij Kac made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 38th match minute, El ABUELO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Hori to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Alberto Etxekopar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 42 minutes into the game, El ABUELO FC's Sergio Txurio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julij Kac made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Serafin Eskuin during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th match minute, El ABUELO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafin Eskuin to maneuver through the defense. After the first half El ABUELO FC were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sergio Txurio to make the kick off. Marciano Lertxun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francelj Kunstič went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice moves Sergio Txurio could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Julij Kac however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafin Eskuin in the 66th minute of play forced Fajteri's goalkeeper Julij Kac to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Orlando Kutnjak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fajteri fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-4. Fajteri's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Alberto Etxekopar scored to the left of an out of position Julij Kac, making the score, 4-6. 96 minutes into the match, Sergio Txurio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julij Kac. Fajteri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sergio Txurio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-7. When the final whistle sounded El ABUELO FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fajteri.
