The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nereo Michael scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nico Paz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nereo Michael in the 11th minute of play forced RompePiernas FC's goalkeeper Nico Paz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Silvio Handi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nico Paz was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. After 17 played minutes RompePiernas FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Bermund. Cuca Trap kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Jacinto Bermund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celta de Virgos's Nereo Michael managed to work through RompePiernas FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Nereo Michael dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 26 minutes into the game, RompePiernas FC's Erling Håland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Placido Mercurio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a rather tough play, RompePiernas FC's Cuca Trap got a free kick in the 29th minute. Ariel Mambru charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ariel Mambru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of RompePiernas FC booed when Celta de Virgos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Mambru didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd match minute, RompePiernas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Gonzalez to maneuver through the defense. When Fidel Chan fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Celta de Virgos's protests and gave Fidel Chan a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nereo Michael in the 41st minute of play forced RompePiernas FC's goalkeeper Nico Paz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Amador Milio might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Placido Mercurio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amador Milio ran back to his position shaking his head. Jacinto Bermund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Mercurio having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, RompePiernas FC's Erling Håland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Placido Mercurio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Erling Håland hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Erling Håland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute of the match Oscar Gonzalez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Placido Mercurio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Cuca Trap fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RompePiernas FC's protests and gave Cuca Trap a yellow card for diving instead. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Nereo Michael sped through RompePiernas FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nico Paz. Placido Mercurio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacinto Bermund went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. After 93 minutes, Zeledon Dominix mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Celta de Virgos and the RompePiernas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rd match minute, Celta de Virgos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeledon Dominix to maneuver through the defense. Celta de Virgos's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because RompePiernas FC had won, even though Celta de Virgos had held more of the ball.
