After 5 minutes of play, Metolokos MZ Clube's Murilo Catarinense made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan-Joost Smeekes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jan-Joost Smeekes made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Yakup Kadri Akbatur sent off a good shot on target. 13 minutes into the match, Seagulls's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Catarinense came free, but Jan-Joost Smeekes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murilo Catarinense in the 13th minute of play forced Seagulls's goalkeeper Jan-Joost Smeekes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Zé Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Joost Smeekes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Murilo Catarinense took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jan-Joost Smeekes to make any attempt to save it. After 20 played minutes Seagulls got a freekick which was hit by Ralf Talsma. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrés Chavez in the 22nd minute of play forced Seagulls's goalkeeper Jan-Joost Smeekes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan-Joost Smeekes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrés Chavez in the 23rd minute of the match. Seagulls were furious when Gerben Klein was red carded, 24 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 24th minute, one of Seagulls:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Seagulls. The goalkeeper, Jan-Joost Smeekes, was totally fooled by Metolokos MZ Clube's Luiz Fábio Braga, who 26 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Murilo Catarinense hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 4-0 became the score in the 35th minute when Matheus Nascimento elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Yakup Kadri Akbatur's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Jan-Joost Smeekes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yakup Kadri Akbatur made a kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Seagulls's goalkeeper Jan-Joost Smeekes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Seagulls's Jan-Joost Smeekes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Baptista in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Raimundo Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute Yakup Kadri Akbatur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Joost Smeekes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan-Joost Smeekes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yakup Kadri Akbatur went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Carsten Klaasens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Romeu Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 88 minutes of play, Metolokos MZ Clube's Yakup Kadri Akbatur made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan-Joost Smeekes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rogier Veninga made in the 91st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Carsten Klaasens however managed to control. After 96 played minutes Metolokos MZ Clube got a freekick which was hit by Murilo Catarinense. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Ralf Talsma managed to get in a good position for a shot. Seagulls's supporters rose to their feet, but Ralf Talsma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeu Netto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Metolokos MZ Clube had played much better football throughout.
