TALLERES's Mario Cuenca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save TALLERES from getting a goal against them. 10 minutes into the match, TALLERES's goalkeeper Mario Cuenca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dominique Virapin. When Raymond Lherbier fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Pointe Courte's protests and gave Raymond Lherbier a yellow card for diving instead. After 12 played minutes La Pointe Courte got a freekick which was hit by Raymond Lherbier. 19 minutes into the match, La Pointe Courte's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Fertus came free, but Sabri Fouquet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in La Pointe Courte fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! Nahuel Bustos took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sabri Fouquet. Sabri Fouquet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thibaut Mazieres got free with Mario Cuenca in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute, Thibaut Mazieres made a precise shot to the right of Mario Cuenca. TALLERES's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. TALLERES's Mario Cuenca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Éric Di Meo in the 39th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, TALLERES's goalkeeper Mario Cuenca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yann Scott. TALLERES's Mario Cuenca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save TALLERES from getting a goal against them. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nahuel Bustos to make the kick off. Mario Cuenca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dominique Virapin in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, TALLERES's Nunez Urdaspal got a free kick in the 60th minute. Dominique Virapin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Cuenca having to interfere. La Pointe Courte's Mathys Guigon was substituted for Dominique Virapin. Mario Cuenca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathys Guigon in the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Mathys Guigon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Cuenca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. TALLERES's Mario Cuenca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yann Scott in the 75th minute of play. Sabri Fouquet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nahuel Bustos, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Camilo Leobardo hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, TALLERES's goal looked a bit too open when Yann Scott came free, but Mario Cuenca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
