Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gilbert Åkesson started the match with the kick off. Kent Backman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Konrad Hemmerle in the 7th minute. A collision led to FC Triesen getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Hans Eder hit a great ball. Enis Haas charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enis Haas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Triesen's Enis Haas got a free kick in the 12th minute. Oskar Björk kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Andy Bjorg could shoot a difficult shot in the 17th minute, which Kent Backman however easily saved by the left post. In the 22nd minute, Sandro Schleith left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Triesen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to Norrlands Athen getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Gilbert Åkesson hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Erne got free with Kent Backman in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Konrad Hemmerle took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Kent Backman to make any attempt to save it. Kent Backman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Dietsche, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of FC Triesen booed when Norrlands Athen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Brodin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sandro Schleith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Norrlands Athen's Kent Backman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konrad Hemmerle in the 77th minute of play. If Fabian Dietsche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Dietsche came free, but Kent Backman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars-Erik Wall hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Kent Backman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Erne in the 82nd minute of play. Konrad Hemmerle struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Kent Backman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Triesen. In the 89th minute Fabian Dietsche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kent Backman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kent Backman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Bjorg, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Triesen had played much better football throughout.
