Ernani Custódio's late challenge caught a Atlético Rio Cuarto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernani Custódio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th match minute, Tarrasque Voador F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernani Custódio to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s zone, Eleuterio Benvide stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabinho Arruda came out of the goal and Eleuterio Benvide tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Márcio Barral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Celso Lonzo made a huge save. In the 27th minute Eleuterio Benvide shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabinho Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 minutes of play, Atlético Rio Cuarto's Eleuterio Benvide made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabinho Arruda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Atlético Rio Cuarto's Celso Lonzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldir Souza in the 33rd minute of play. Guido Burni hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Edmílson Silva hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute Angelo Deunoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabinho Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Waldir Souza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celso Lonzo. Atlético Rio Cuarto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Waldir Souza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eleuterio Benvide made a kick off. Fabinho Arruda made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Claudio Urbasa sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Tarrasque Voador F.C. booed when Atlético Rio Cuarto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Burni didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Atlético Rio Cuarto getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Clemente Nel hit a great ball. When Márcio Barral, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 62 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Celso Lonzo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Tarrasque Voador F.C.'s Waldir Souza got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Márcio Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Celso Lonzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Márcio Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. A collision led to Tarrasque Voador F.C. getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Antônio Carlos Mazza hit a great ball. Fabinho Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Deunoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 92 played minutes Tarrasque Voador F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Márcio Barral. In the 95th minute, Astor Liher ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabinho Arruda was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. The Tarrasque Voador F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Atlético Rio Cuarto's performance. The match ended with a win for Atlético Rio Cuarto.
