Rubens Prata started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute, César Vinhas made a precise shot to the right of Armando Barbosa. Chaves do 8 FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. William Rossi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Armando Barbosa came out and tried to block the shot, but William Rossi slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 10th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Botelho got free with Armando Barbosa in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ricardinho Lara hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute Nildo Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute of the match COURO COME FC got a corner. Chaves do 8 FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Benê Alvarenga ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Benê Alvarenga almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chaves do 8 FC's Armando Barbosa did a great save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastião de Senna during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sebastião de Senna hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. José Maria Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubens Prata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nildo Pereira made a kick off. Jeferson Couto hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. A collision led to COURO COME FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Nildo Pereira hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubens Prata in the 63rd minute of play forced COURO COME FC's goalkeeper José Maria Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubens Prata received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. José Maria Pontes came out and tried to block the shot, but Rubens Prata slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 69th minute. In the 72nd minute William Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Barbosa having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Juninho Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. William Rossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Barbosa having to interfere. Christian Botelho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armando Barbosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Rubens Prata recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of José Maria Pontes. Rubens Prata showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-2. COURO COME FC's José Maria Pontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save COURO COME FC from getting a goal against them. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The COURO COME FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chaves do 8 FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
