The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gervasio Sazon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Johan Ekeberg in the 3rd minute of the match. When Ninjas FK's Karl-Johan Ekeberg in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ORIZABA F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Sten Klar kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Cesar Lop scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roger Häger, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 14 played minutes Ninjas FK got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Johan Ekeberg. After a rather tough play, ORIZABA F.C.'s Victor Maxin got a free kick in the 16th minute. Alexander Malmgren took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gervasio Sazon. ORIZABA F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, ORIZABA F.C.'s Cesar Lop nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roger Häger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Gervasio Sazon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl-Johan Ekeberg's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Primo in the 30th minute of play forced Ninjas FK's goalkeeper Roger Häger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of ORIZABA F.C. booed when Ninjas FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Malmgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roger Häger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Rosario in the 36th minute of play. Karl-Magnus Dahlberg charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karl-Magnus Dahlberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th match minute, Ninjas FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Magnus Dahlberg to maneuver through the defense. Roger Häger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javier Rosario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karl-Johan Ekeberg was the one to do the kick off. Alexander Malmgren's late challenge caught a ORIZABA F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Malmgren helped the player get up and apologised. Javier Rosario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Roger Häger made a huge save. After 54 minutes of play Ninjas FK's Alexander Malmgren was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Roger Häger didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 59th minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. Dante Txema took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roger Häger. Roger Häger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. After a rather tough play, Ninjas FK's Karl-Johan Ekeberg got a free kick in the 65th minute. Karl-Johan Ekeberg's late challenge caught a ORIZABA F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl-Johan Ekeberg helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ninjas FK's Karl-Johan Ekeberg got a free kick in the 68th minute. The long shot by Ambrosio Isias in the 69th minute really tested Roger Häger's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prophet Mohammed in the 72nd minute of play forced ORIZABA F.C.'s goalkeeper Gervasio Sazon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ninjas FK's Roger Häger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesar Lop in the 79th minute of play. Ninjas FK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Victorino Primo 82 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-5. If Victorino Primo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Javier Rosario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Roger Häger made a huge save. The ORIZABA F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ORIZABA F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
