In the 15th minute Bon Guidetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zakir Novruzov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zakir Novruzov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bon Guidetti, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 28th match minute, Karen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Ekeroth to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Tadeusz Dziechciowski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bengt-Åke Smitt. That made the score 2-0 in the 36 minute of play. Tadeusz Dziechciowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt-Åke Smitt having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bon Guidetti to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Karen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bon Guidetti to maneuver through the defense. Tadeusz Dziechciowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tadeusz Dziechciowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bengt-Åke Smitt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tadeusz Dziechciowski ran back to his position shaking his head. 57 minutes into the match, Karen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeusz Dziechciowski came free, but Bengt-Åke Smitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karen FC's Bengt-Åke Smitt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeusz Dziechciowski in the 60th minute of play. Zakir Novruzov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bon Guidetti in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinícius Juniors in the 71st minute of play forced Karen FC's goalkeeper Bengt-Åke Smitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tadeusz Dziechciowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sakura Storm's Tadeusz Dziechciowski got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bengt Bergkvist hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Leo Ekeroth kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match.
