When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Antonio Cerasoli sped through Pogoń1945Staszów's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zenon Fabiszak. Zenon Fabiszak came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by AC Roma's Fabio Cirelli. But to his dismay, Fabio Cirelli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 13th minute, Cosimo Maccarone made a precise shot to the right of Zenon Fabiszak. Pogoń1945Staszów's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. If Leszek Ruzicki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the game, Cosimo Maccarone cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Zenon Fabiszak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zenon Fabiszak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aurelio Barresi went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Radomir Kosiorek hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute, Antonio Cerasoli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zenon Fabiszak was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelio Barresi in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zenon Fabiszak saved Pogoń1945Staszów from getting behind. In the 34th match minute, AC Roma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Cerasoli to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the game, Stasio Jaruzelski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pogoń1945Staszów's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Roma the free kick. After a rather tough play, Pogoń1945Staszów's Stasio Jaruzelski got a free kick in the 37th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cosimo Maccarone during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Pogoń1945Staszów booed when AC Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosimo Maccarone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zenon Fabiszak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosimo Maccarone, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After some careless play in the Pogoń1945Staszów defense, Aurelio Barresi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zenon Fabiszak. The Pogoń1945Staszów fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zenon Fabiszak should have stopped the shot. 48 minutes into the game, Aurelio Barresi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Zenon Fabiszak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
Zenon Fabiszak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Cerasoli in the 64th minute of play. Zenon Fabiszak made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Aurelio Barresi sent off a good shot on target. Aurelio Barresi struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Zenon Fabiszak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Roma. In the 71st minute Antonio Cerasoli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenon Fabiszak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilio Di Fazio charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilio Di Fazio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 72 played minutes AC Roma got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Di Fazio. Leszek Ruzicki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Anselmo Cirulli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Cerasoli in the 76th minute of play forced Pogoń1945Staszów's goalkeeper Zenon Fabiszak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to AC Roma getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Donato Porro hit a great ball. Cosimo Maccarone struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. In the 95th minute Antonio Cerasoli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenon Fabiszak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Pogoń1945Staszów fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AC Roma were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
