Celsinho Vander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Peru in the 13th minute of play. Teofilo Furtado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Celsinho Vander skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Garchofila FC booed when AFC - Curitiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nico Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. German Guifre was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Valentin Hartz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Celsinho Vander. That made the score 1-2 in the 34 minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Garchofila FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Aguilera to maneuver through the defense. Valentin Hartz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celsinho Vander having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Gustavo Braga to make the kick off. Allan Furlan kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Celsinho Vander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romulo Peru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as AFC - Curitiba's Allan Furlan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of German Guifre. That made the score 1-4 after 56 minutes of play. With his leg German Guifre managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when AFC - Curitiba's Luiz Gustavo Braga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. German Guifre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Furlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Peru in the 66th minute of play forced AFC - Curitiba's goalkeeper Celsinho Vander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celsinho Vander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Padro in the 68th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the game, Romulo Peru cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. German Guifre made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Humberto Leão sent off a good shot on target. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. AFC - Curitiba walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
