Roger Klemensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Dias in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Samurai's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Narciso Lucas was slow to take the kick. During this time CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's players had a chance to rest. Narciso Lucas made a great header on CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's corner, it was just that Samurai's Roger Klemensson managed to reach the ball for a save. Gláuber Mattos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fredrik Bennet, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fredrik Bennet in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gláuber Mattos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Roger Klemensson managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Júlio Brasil fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 21st minute, Elof Bergfelt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Narciso Lucas tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Júlio Brasil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roger Klemensson having to make a save. Júlio Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 33 in the game by Júlio Brasil from a close distance when the talented Roger Klemensson managed to make a qualified save. Samurai's players were relieved. The crowd rose to their feet as CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Tony Dias slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roger Klemensson. That made the score 1-0 after 36 minutes of play. 43 minutes into the game, Jan-Åke Johansson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Samurai's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE the free kick. After 43 played minutes Samurai got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Åke Johansson. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE were furious when Marcelinho Ramalho was red carded, 47 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fredrik Bennet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Elof Bergfelt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Samurai and the CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Samurai getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Elof Bergfelt hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Samurai's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Brasil came free, but Roger Klemensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Samurai's Henry Kjellkvist got a free kick in the 59th minute. Tião da Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Gláuber Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Åkerström in the 67th minute of play. Roger Klemensson came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Júlio Brasil. But to his dismay, Júlio Brasil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Tony Dias took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roger Klemensson. Roger Klemensson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 88th match minute, Samurai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joakim Dahlberg to maneuver through the defense. Jan-Åke Johansson kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Roger Klemensson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute, Samurai's Henry Kjellkvist seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Henry Kjellkvist the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Samurai protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Henry Kjellkvist had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE booed when Samurai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Kjellkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Narciso Lucas, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Samurai's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE had won, even though Samurai had held more of the ball.
