Tony Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Garcia having to interfere. Júlio Brasil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Isaias Garcia made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Nuxila in the 47th minute of play forced CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper Gláuber Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isaac Gelmiro to strike the kick off in the second half. CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's Gláuber Mattos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE from getting a goal against them. In the 61st minute, Fernando Rainerio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Boedo Athletic.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Júlio Brasil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2.
